Volunteer With Us

We welcome volunteers with and without lived experience of disability or chronic illness. There's a role for everyone – and we'll work with your availability, energy levels, and access needs.

Volunteer Roles

Befriending & Social Support

Time commitment: 2–4 hours/month

Welcome new members at meetups, facilitate small-group chats, or provide one-to-one befriending for isolated community members.

What you'll gain: Connection, peer support training, and the satisfaction of reducing isolation.

Event Support

Time commitment: Flexible, event-based

Help set up accessible venues, register attendees, manage refreshments, or provide practical support during activities.

What you'll gain: Behind-the-scenes experience running inclusive events.

Accessibility Marshals

Time commitment: 3–6 hours/month

Conduct venue audits, provide accessibility feedback, and help local businesses understand disabled people's needs.

What you'll gain: Training in accessibility standards, plus the chance to shape local environments.

Volunteer Drivers

Time commitment: Varies

Provide transport to activities for members who struggle with public transport. Expenses covered; accessible vehicle training available.

What you'll gain: Direct impact on people's ability to participate.

Admin & Communications

Time commitment: 2–5 hours/month (remote-friendly)

Help with social media, newsletters, updating the website, or organising volunteer rotas. Flexible, work-from-home roles.

What you'll gain: Skills in nonprofit communications and digital marketing.

Fundraising Support

Time commitment: Flexible

Organise sponsored events, apply for grants, run raffles, or support donation campaigns. As little or as much as you can manage.

What you'll gain: Experience in charity fundraising and community engagement.

What We Offer Volunteers
